The Power of I Am Not

We hold this Truth to be self evident: Donald Trump is a confidence man.

by O Society Jan 17, 2020

Cons work on people who want to believe due to their own issues with greed, fear, resentment and so on. Trump’s specific con appeals to the people who subscribe to the conservative moral hierarchy.

I have my own issues with greed, fear, and resentment to deal with, just like every other American. I could be a hypocrite. However, the difference between me and the average Trumpet is I do not believe in the conservative moral hierarchy.

Lakoffs-hierarchy

For a believer, it is like swimming in water. As fish, they never notice the water, they simply swim. There are oceans and then there are ponds.

A True Believer hates Ho-mo-sexuals and Blacks and so on because these are the Other in the Conservative Moral Hierarchy. It’s only natural. Law & Order. Clean and neat. God sits on top, of course, and God is an Awesome God white, heterosexual, Christian, American, male, capitalist, of course. He might even drink Budweiser. Maybe even right out of the can. Maybe…

To such folks, someone like me is a traitor to the cause simply because I do not automatically believe in their virtue. I am a n!gger lover, a heathen, a communist. All because I do not believe their God can beat up someone else’s god at the Heavenly Playground Showdown, and  I do not believe covering one’s own ass with pink skin makes one’s ass better than the brown skin covering someone else’s ass. I do not believe dicks are better than vaginas, my belief is only that the two do fit together nicely, thank you.

And I don’t believe the few rich people are better than all the poor ones. I don’t think being American makes someone inherently better than being born Chinese simply because the location of where one is born – be it away in the hay of a manger or a crop circle in a rice field – seems a matter of chance rather than personal merit to me.

How ’bout you?

Ultimately I am none of these things as I find no essence when I look under the table, which is what makes me a traitor to the cause, a traitor to the con, an injury to the confidence of the believer, a thorn in the crown upon the self-congratulatory mastabatory mind of Mammon.

I am not gay, pansexual or even confused about my gender, but if you are, go on with your bad fabulous self and don’t bother me while I eat sushi. I am not the devil nor do I believe in Satan. I am not able to believe in any -ism at all. I do not believe in the Other because I examined myself and found no merit there with which to elevate my self above all the rest of the selves in humanity. My self is simply more familiar to me than your self or anyone else’s self. Familiarity does not make this self better or worse than, just more familiar, to me. It works. Nothing more, nothing less than either.

How ’bout you?

This is why I cannot be a Trumpet. I unlearned all they taught me, in schools both private and public. Their so-called “meritocracy” is a fake and a fraud, so I simply never internalized it as “true.”

How about you?

  1. The US is capitalist state, and we are defined by income/job status. Most votes, research has shown, come down to economic issues. By 2016, roughly half of all registered voters had concluded that one pro-war, anti-poor party isn’t better than the other. We’re ruled by the oligarchy. And because so many years went into successfully pitting the “masses against each other by class, race, etc., there isn’t a whole lot we can do about it.

  2. It is interesting how people in the US assume it is a capitalist state. In reality, the US is a mixed state.

Some things like Hollywood movies and TV are all privatized now. Capitalist to the bone. Only profit and what people will buy matters here to the owners of purely commercial things.

Other things, such as the post office, social security, libraries schools, and parks are socialist in that these are publicly owned without the need for profit.

People should be careful what they wish for. A purely capitalist society results in monopoly with a few oligarchs holding all the cards.

A purely communal economy where everything is shared isn’t so fantastic either. Pure socialism in which the public owns everything jointly or collectively won’t work, what with with 7 billion people on the planet trying to share resources equally. We’re inherently too greedy for it to work as individual human beings.

So the truth is we need some sort of mixture of private and public ownership of things.

The truth is one guy who owns everything – such as Jeff Bezoz – with everyone else groveling at his feet, and the government owning everything with people dependent upon the state heads by a dictator effectively become the same thing in the end.

Either way, most people end up owning mostly nothing, working for The Man.

    Time for something different.

  3. Meh, a lot of this “whiteness” schtick is so outdated, it’s mainly just a few of those leftover guys (e.g. Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Trump, etc.) that rule the masses. Now, loud and clear being a “trumpet” really is impossible, especially knowing how cults go. However, western culture itself is depleting, the “male over female” bit faded away long ago (refer to: #metoo), the “strong above the weak” part is easily refutable due to current day plutocracy (“rich above the poor”), and “Man above Nature” technically goes against God (a little bit akin to Israeli sentiment in a sense). In other words, this “Con” Moral Hierarchy is full of holes, no doubt about it.

  4. The Conservative Moral Hierarchy is the key to understanding what Donald Trump represents. A throwback to reactionary times. The 1950s. Hell, make it Antebellum times. The CMH was in place in America from its founding, long before anyone alive now was born.

There are other keys to understanding how Trump gets away with this tremendous load of bullshit besides flooding the zone and the CMH. Concepts such as Controlling the Message with Bottlenecks and Amplifiers are how propaganda works, regardless of who it is shitting on the airwaves.

The resultant flow of information leads to the Land of Make Believe, in which White Male Christian Heterosexuals dream they are in the money, in the golden days again, and superior in status.

It’s a belief system. I’m not telling anyone to believe in it or justifying why we should believe in it. I’m telling you this is what Trumpets believe in. I did not say it is justifiable or maintainable or rational.

I said the justification Trumpets use comes from God saying to man, He’s giving man Dominion over everything in the Bible, which includes the right to greed and fucking things up as you will. As in Genesis. From the very beginning. Can’t get more reactionary than this, can we?

This is the root of it. Trumpets are hereby entitled to burn up all the coal, oil, and other fossil fuels, take a shit and piss in your local river or lake, and call it a day while they count your money in their pockets they got from trashing the place and killing any living being they can make a profit from precisely because GOD SAYS SO RIGHT HERE:

    https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+1%3A26-28&version=KJV

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
